JB Technologies designs, installs, and supports Brivo cloud access control systems for commercial buildings, multi-tenant properties, and multi-site operators across Atlanta and the Southeast.
Brivo is the original cloud-based access control platform, used by tens of thousands of commercial properties to manage doors, gates, elevators, and credentials from a single web and mobile interface. JB Technologies is an Atlanta low-voltage integrator that designs, installs, programs, and maintains Brivo systems for property managers, facilities directors, IT teams, and security leaders across metro Atlanta and the broader Southeast. We deploy Brivo Access on the ACS300 and ACS6000 control panels, configure Brivo Mobile Pass credentials, integrate Brivo Snapshot and third-party video platforms, and tie the system into your identity provider, visitor management, and tenant portal workflows. Whether you operate a single Class A office tower in Midtown, a portfolio of multifamily communities along the Beltline, or a regional retail footprint across Georgia, Florida, and the Carolinas, JBT delivers a Brivo deployment that is properly cabled, cleanly programmed, and documented for your team to operate confidently from day one.
The core cloud access control platform for managing doors, users, schedules, and credentials from any browser, with role-based admin, audit trails, and open APIs for integration.
IP-based door controllers that connect readers and locks back to the Brivo cloud, supporting OSDP, Wiegand, and a broad range of credential technologies on a hardened embedded Linux platform.
Smartphone-based credentials using Bluetooth and NFC that replace plastic cards, with self-service issuance, instant revocation, and support for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet on supported readers.
Built-in cloud video that captures a still image at every door event, giving administrators visual verification tied directly to access activity without a separate VMS.
Resident-facing access for apartment communities, including unit entry, amenity scheduling, package room access, and integration with property management systems and resident apps.
Self-service visitor registration, pre-authorized guest passes, and time-bound credentials for contractors and service providers, all auditable from the Brivo Access dashboard.
Native cloud video plus integrations with Eagle Eye Networks, Milestone, and other VMS platforms so access events and camera streams are correlated in a single pane of glass.
Tenant floor access, lobby turnstiles, parking gate control, and after-hours overrides for property managers running multi-tenant office assets across metro Atlanta.
Perimeter gates, amenity doors, package rooms, and unit entry tied to PMS systems, giving residents mobile access and giving operators a single cloud dashboard across the portfolio.
Standardized door schedules, manager credentials, and remote unlocks across dozens or hundreds of locations, with central reporting that scales from a single corporate console.
SSO-driven employee provisioning, sensitive-area zoning, server room access, and visitor flows for fast-growing companies that want IT-friendly, API-first access control.
Dock door control, yard gates, driver check-in, and 24/7 shift access for distribution centers around Hartsfield-Jackson, the I-285 perimeter, and the Savannah port corridor.
After-hours clinic access, controlled medication and records areas, and tenant-by-tenant zoning for medical office buildings and professional plazas.
JB Technologies is headquartered in Atlanta and self-performs Brivo work across Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, the Carolinas, and Florida. You get a local team for site walks, installation, and warranty service, not a national subcontractor pool.
We design door schedules, reader and lock selection, cable pathways, power, and network requirements before we pull a single wire, and we coordinate with your GC, electrician, and IT team so the system actually lands on schedule.
Brivo is a cloud product, so we treat it like one: VLAN planning, PoE budgeting, identity-provider integration, certificate handling, and clean documentation that your IT and security teams can actually audit.
We do not disappear after commissioning. JBT offers ongoing administration support, credential management assistance, firmware updates, and proactive site visits so your Brivo system keeps running cleanly years after install.
We walk every door, gate, and elevator in scope, document existing hardware, network drops, and power, and clarify who will administer the system, which tenants are involved, and what integrations are required.
JBT produces a door schedule, hardware bill of materials, network and power plan, and a fixed-fee proposal. Drawings and a Brivo configuration outline are delivered for stakeholder review before any equipment is ordered.
Our technicians pull cable, mount controllers, install readers and locks, and program Brivo Access. We integrate identity providers, video, visitor management, and PMS systems as part of the same engagement.
We test every door, verify schedules and credentials, train your administrators on day-to-day operations, and deliver as-built documentation. Then we stay engaged for warranty, moves-adds-changes, and quarterly health checks.
Brivo offers two paths. First, Brivo Snapshot captures a still image at the door at every event using a Brivo-managed camera, giving you instant visual verification without a separate VMS. Second, Brivo Access integrates with cloud and on-prem VMS platforms including Eagle Eye Networks, Milestone XProtect, and several others so live and recorded video is correlated with access events in a single dashboard. JBT typically scopes the integration during design: we confirm camera placement at controlled doors, validate VMS API or cloud-bridge requirements, and configure event-to-camera mapping during commissioning so your operators can click an access event and immediately see the corresponding video.
Most JBT clients deploy a hybrid model. Brivo Mobile Pass uses Bluetooth and NFC on iOS and Android and is excellent for employees, residents, and frequent users because it is self-service, instantly revocable, and removes the cost of plastic cards and printers. Physical credentials, typically encrypted smart cards over OSDP, still make sense for visitors, contractors, shared workstations, and environments where phones are restricted. We help you pick reader models that support both, set issuance policies in Brivo Access, and plan a migration path if you are moving off legacy 125 kHz prox cards, which we strongly recommend replacing for security reasons.
Brivo controllers are edge-intelligent. The ACS300 and ACS6000 panels store user databases, schedules, and access rules locally, so when the cloud connection drops, doors continue to grant or deny access based on the most recent configuration. Events are buffered locally and synced back to the Brivo cloud once connectivity is restored. What you temporarily lose during an outage is the ability to make remote changes, pull live reports, or receive real-time alerts. JBT typically recommends pairing each site with a cellular failover path, either through the customer firewall or a dedicated LTE bridge, so administrative control is preserved through ISP outages.
Yes. Brivo Access supports SAML-based single sign-on for administrator login and integrates with identity providers including Okta, Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), and Google Workspace. For user and credential provisioning, Brivo offers SCIM-style synchronization and an open REST API that JBT uses to automate onboarding and offboarding. When an employee is disabled in your IdP, their Brivo credential is revoked automatically. We design the integration during deployment, including group-to-access-level mapping, role separation between IT admins and security admins, and audit logging that satisfies SOC 2 and similar compliance frameworks.
For multi-site clients, JBT builds a standardized site template in Brivo Access covering door schedules, access groups, naming conventions, and integration settings, then replicates that template across every location. We coordinate site surveys, equipment staging, and installation waves so corporate IT and security can validate one site, approve the template, and then scale the rollout across the portfolio. Brivo Access supports an account hierarchy that lets corporate teams manage all sites centrally while delegating day-to-day operations to local managers. We typically recommend regional pilots, clear cutover windows, and a defined freeze on configuration changes during the rollout to keep the deployment clean.
Brivo is a subscription platform, so beyond the one-time hardware, cabling, and installation cost, you should plan for an annual or monthly Brivo software subscription priced per door or per panel, depending on the edition selected (Brivo Access Standard, Professional, or Enterprise). Add-on modules like Brivo Mobile Pass credential bundles, Brivo Snapshot video, and visitor management are typically licensed separately. JBT helps you size the right edition based on door count, integration needs, and reporting requirements, and we layer on an optional JBT support agreement for administrator assistance, firmware updates, and on-site moves-adds-changes so the total cost of ownership is predictable.
