Water-U — Headquarters Buildout

Water-U engaged JB Technologies as the integrated low-voltage contractor for its corporate headquarters buildout. The scope covered every system that runs on Cat6A or fiber: data, voice, AV, IP cameras, access control, and Wi-Fi — designed and delivered as one cohesive infrastructure rather than five vendors stitched together.

The Challenge

A combined corporate and innovation campus has unusual technology requirements: it has to look polished for visiting customers, support engineering and design workflows that demand high bandwidth at every desk, and accommodate frequent space reconfigurations as teams grow and shift. The construction schedule put low-voltage rough-in directly behind framing — the cabling design had to be locked early enough that the GC could keep moving.

What We Built

JB Technologies provided the full low-voltage design package during pre-construction, then executed the install in phases coordinated with the GC's schedule. Horizontal cabling is Cat6A throughout, with single-mode fiber backbone connecting two IDFs to the MDF on diverse pathways. Conference rooms use a standardized Crestron-managed Teams Rooms platform. IP surveillance covers all building entries, parking, and shipping/receiving areas, with NVR storage scaled for 30-day retention. The access control runs on the customer's preferred platform and is tied to badge issuance from HR onboarding.

Outcomes

Building turnover landed on schedule with all systems passing acceptance testing on the first walk-through. Water-U's facilities and IT teams use the JB-built monitoring dashboard to track device health across every system from one screen.
