Schneider Electric's Schaumburg office consolidation brought multiple legacy spaces into a single new floor plate outside Chicago. JB Technologies handled the low-voltage scope end-to-end — cabling design, AV system engineering, security integration, and ongoing operational support.
The Challenge
The space carried heavy collaboration demand: every workstation needed dual-monitor PoE, every conference room needed BYOD wireless screen-share, and the executive briefing center had to support Microsoft Teams Rooms with content cameras and high-end audio. On top of that, the access-control system needed to integrate with Schneider's global badge policy from day one — no manual provisioning workarounds.
What We Built
JB Technologies delivered Cat6A horizontal cabling to every drop, fiber backbone with redundant routes between IDFs, and standardized Microsoft Teams Rooms across all conference spaces. The access-control system uses Schneider's federated identity backend so a badge issued in any region works at any door, on day one. We also installed IP cameras at all building entries and a managed Wi-Fi network sized for 1.5x the open-floor headcount.

Outcomes
Day-one cutover with zero outages. Schneider's IT team had full visibility into every room, switch port, and door from the first morning of occupancy. JB continues to provide remote-monitored support and on-site moves/adds as the office evolves.
