Schneider Electric — Houston

Schneider Electric expanded its Houston regional footprint with a multi-floor tenant buildout. JB Technologies was the low-voltage and AV contractor of record, delivering structured cabling, conference-room AV, IP video surveillance, and an access-control system tied into Schneider's global identity platform.

The Challenge

The buildout ran on an aggressive schedule on floors directly above active Schneider operations. Every above-ceiling cable pull, riser termination, and equipment rollout had to happen on schedule without disrupting trading-style workflows below. The AV scope included sixteen huddle rooms, four large conference rooms, and a mixed-use town hall — each with conference camera, ceiling-array microphones, and direct-share displays.

What We Built

JB Technologies provisioned a Cat6A horizontal plant on each floor, with redundant fiber backbone to floor-level IDFs and two diverse paths to the building MDF. AV systems were standardized across rooms — the same conferencing platform, same control interface, same camera framing — so users get an identical experience in every room. Access control extends Schneider's corporate badge policy to every door, with after-hours alerts piped into their existing SIEM.

Outcomes

The floors turned over on schedule with full IT acceptance testing complete on day one. JB continues to provide ongoing service for AV, network cabling moves/adds, and access-control programming as Schneider scales the office.
