Ecolab Lobby & Reception

When Ecolab renovated a flagship corporate lobby, JB Technologies was brought in to integrate the AV, signage, and security systems behind the architectural design. The lobby had to project Ecolab's brand identity at first impression while running secure visitor check-in, badge issuance, and access control behind the scenes.

The Challenge

The lobby anchor was a curved video wall stretching twenty feet across the reception backdrop — it needed to play synchronized brand content during business hours, switch to live company-meeting overflow when needed, and dim automatically based on ambient light. At the same time, the reception desk needed a fully integrated visitor workflow that issued temporary badges, notified hosts via Teams, and gated access to elevators and tenant floors.

What We Built

JB Technologies engineered and installed the video wall (16 LED panels with a single processor controller), a Crestron-managed AV system, and a tightly integrated visitor workflow built on the existing access-control platform. Ambient-light sensors trigger automatic brightness adjustments. The system pushes badge data directly to the elevator destination-dispatch and floor-level readers, so a visitor's badge only opens the doors they're cleared for.

Outcomes

The lobby has run continuously since handover with no manual intervention required for daily content rotation or visitor flow. Ecolab's facilities team manages all signage content remotely from a single dashboard JB built on top of the manufacturer SDK.
