What are the network and infrastructure requirements?

Each ButterflyMX panel needs a Cat6 PoE+ drop back to a managed switch with reliable internet — the panels are cloud-connected, so an outage at the building means an outage at the front door. We typically deploy a small dedicated VLAN for ButterflyMX hardware, a managed PoE switch with appropriate UPS backup, and a redundant ISP path or LTE failover on properties where uptime is critical. The subscription covers cloud hosting, mobile apps for residents, the admin OS, software updates, and standard support — there are no per-resident or per-call fees, and residents do not pay anything. Pricing scales by unit count and which modules you turn on (intercom, package room, elevator, vehicle access, etc.). On the JB Technologies side we sell hardware, low-voltage installation, integration work, and an optional service plan for moves/adds/changes and break-fix.
